Statement of Faith

One Statement For One Faith

Need some reassurance on where, exactly, I stand in my faith? Just because someone claims to believe the Bible doesn’t mean they really do. There are some wild preachers out there. Here’s my faith statement so you know exactly what kinds of things I’ll be preaching to your congregation if you choose to invite me:

– I believe in One God, who is in three parts: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.

– The Bible is the inspired Word of God, written as the Spirit of God moved the hands of Holy men.

– Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a perfect, sinless life, and then was crucified on a cross to pay the price of the sins of the world. He was then buried and rose again on the 3rd day. He then ascended to Heaven, and He is there today, waiting to return again.

– All humans are born with a sinful nature that separates us from God. We’re not sinners because we sin, we sin because we’re sinners.

– Salvation comes through Christ alone – by grace through faith. We are not saved by any other name or means, and there’s nothing that we can do to earn this salvation. It is a free gift from God.

– I believe in Eternity: a literal heaven and hell. Those who have had their sins washed away by Jesus will spend eternity in Heaven while those who have rejected that gift will spend eternity separated from God.

– Christ is the head of the Church.

– It is our job, as believers, to preach the Gospel to all of creation.
